Thank you to all of those who participated in the vaccination clinics from both Friday and yesterday. As a result of the clinics and other community efforts, well over 1500 members of our community have been vaccinated in the past week and a half alone.

As Pesach approaches and travel to and from the community shifts into high gear, it is recommended that anybody between the ages of 30 and 62 who cannot confirm they have received 2 MMR vaccines or immunity through a Titers test reach out to their physician to discuss whether they should be vaccinated for their own protection as well as the protection of their family and community. Vaccinations continue to be available in various pharmacies and the Minute Clinics.

Any individual, parent or child, even those vaccinated, experiencing high fever or other possible measles symptoms, should call their doctor before going into the office or hospital where they could potentially infect others.

We’d like to take a moment to thank those who facilitated this campaign and both clinics. Specific thanks go out to:

§ The Infection Control, Emergency Response, Pediatric Department and Project Management Teams at Sinai Hospital for their outstanding leadership in bringing together the various agencies and coordinating the effort, as well as Sinai Hospital for supplying half of the vaccinations and supplies.

§ Baltimore City Health Department for operating the first clinic despite an extremely short preparatory timeframe and providing ongoing clinical guidance and support.

§ Baltimore County Health Department for operating the second clinic within an extremely short preparatory timeframe.

§ Maryland State Department of Health and the Office of the Governor for supplying half of the vaccinations and supplies and providing ongoing clinical guidance and support; and to Rabbi Ariel Sadwin for his role in briefing and connecting the various state offices.

§ Shomrei Emunah and Bais Yaakov for hosting these events in their facilities, with all that that entails.

§ A group of dedicated askanim and community physicians for taking the time and making the effort to coordinate these activities to protect our community over Pesach.

§ Hatzalah of Baltimore for providing on-call emergency services and ongoing guidance and support.

§ Jeff Cohn and the Baltimore Jewish Life for providing continuous support and an incredible amount of high-profile space to ensure the success of this important community initiative.

We pray that HKB”H continue to watch over all of us. Wishing everyone a Chag Kusher V'Sameach!
