About the Position
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in social work (LMSW or LCSW)
Minimum 2-5 years’ clinical and/or school-based experience
Passionate about helping nurture children’s social-emotional skills
Knowledgeable about the wide range of social-emotional and mental health challenges of early childhood, including interventions and supports
Creative, flexible, calm, caring, strong self-regulatory skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highly organized
Responsibilities:
Teacher support for individual student and challenging classroom behavior
Service referral for social emotional, mental health, or financial support for students, family members, and staff
Provides guidance and support to parents of students who are experiencing social-emotional or behavioral difficulties
Short term individual and small group school counseling for social emotional or behaviors impacting classroom learning
Creation and facilitation of Student Social Emotional/Behavior support plans
Peer conflict mediation
De-escalation support for behavioral or emotional challenges
Admissions observations and consultation
Teaching Safety Kid and SEL lessons
Teaching and coordination of parent education
