About the Position

Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant assumes an integral role in creating daily meaningful experiences for the children, parents, and staff of the Early Childhood Center program.

Job Responsibilities:
-Oversees the daily operations of the Early Childhood office
-Provides a warm, nurturing presence to help students feel comfortable and cared for
-Provides de-escalation support for students directly or provides backup for the teacher who is working with the student in need

Administrative:
-Oversees substitute coverage for absent staff and ensure ratios are met
-Arrange/schedule substitute teachers
-Maintain spreadsheet of teachers who call out/substitute coverage
-Substitute in classrooms whenever needed
-Answers ECC phone, monitors and responds to emails from parents and outside therapists.
-Maintains and organizes files on staff and students
-Maintains current licensing requirements and regulations
-Organizes and schedules parent meetings and events using google docs/calendars/ParentLocker
-Receive notice of supplies needed (bathroom, craft, snacks/drinks, teacher supplies) and submits order requests)
-Supports and communicates with parents and staff about student illness and/injuries in coordination with the school nurse.
-Reports computer/tech issues to IT Director
-Creates and maintains schedule of outside therapists/support staff
-Plans and coordinates special events (brainstorm, phone calls, supplies, set up, etc.)
-Supports the ECC in other respects, at the discretion of the Head of School or ECC Director
