EA Door Supply is a commercial door and hardware distributor serving contractors in the Maryland area.

JOB SUMMARY:

EA Door Supply is seeking an Assistant Estimator to join its growing team. The assistant estimator will be responsible for helping the estimating team with the bidding process. This role includes reviewing architect drawings, preparing quantity take-offs, and obtaining manufacturer pricing. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a drive to learn. This is an entry-level position which will involve hands on training. The position presents opportunities for advancement in a fast-growing company.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transferring all invitations to bid projects (ITBs) to the bid schedule, and maintain current files for each new project
• Gathering specifications, blueprints, and other documents needed to fulfill bid requirements, and importing the information into Comsense (industry specific software)
• Consolidating take-offs and sending to manufacturers for pricing
• Creating proposals reflecting an accurate pricing estimate for the scope of work
• Following up with general contractors on bids

• Ability to adhere to bid deadlines
