In IDF situation assessment, it comes to similar conclusion

Gaza’s ruling faction Hamas transferred Sunday to Jerusalem a message that last night’s rocket firing was due to a malfunction, a notion that was shared with Israel’s security establishment assessment.

However, the launches came in suspicious timing. The IDF has been on alert over the past few days, deploying Iron Dome batteries in various locations across the country.
