'Israel today is a world leader in safety and health,' tourism minister says as country set to open up

Dubai is among the key three cities picked by Israel's Tourism Ministry for campaigns designed to foster inbound tourism, the ministry said on Tuesday.

As the country is about to reopen for groups of vaccinated visitors in late May, the authorities are looking to revitalize the tourism industry.

To this end, the ministry is planning to launch outreach campaigns in three major cities: Dubai, New York and London.

The destinations have been selected based on their vaccination rates as well as the prospects for inbound tourism for Israel.

While tailored to the local audiences, the campaigns will ultimately promote one message: Israel is a safe destination with a lot to offer.

“Israel today is a world leader in safety and health, and we will make sure every potential tourist knows this when planning their summer or winter vacation,” Minister of Tourism Orit Farkash-Hacohen said Tuesday at a press event.
