The car-size Perseverance rover will “seek signs of ancient life and collect samples of rock and regolith (broken rock and soil) for [a] possible return to Earth,” according to NASA’s official website.

If the landing is successful, the robotic vehicle will have a robotic helicopter to accompany it on the neighboring planet. Read more at i24
