An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale was felt shortly before 5 pm in Israel Wednesday afternoon. This is the second such earthquake in Israel in less than 24 hours.

The Seismological Division of the Geological Survey of Israel said that the epicenter of the earthquake was 20 kilometers southeast of the city of Ariel.

Last night (Tuesday), at about 11:15 PM, an earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale was felt. Its epicenter was 15 kilometers southeast of Ariel, close to the location of the epicenter of Wednesday's earthquake.
