US President Donald Trump's campaign said Wednesday it had asked a court to stop the counting of votes in the pivotal state of Michigan, where rival Joe Biden holds a thin lead.

In a second bid, the campaign said it was suing to halt the vote count in key state Pennsylvania, where Trump is leading by a comfortable margin of 6.5 percent -- but with only 80 percent of the vote counted.

The Trump campaign accused electoral officials of prohibiting its "observers" from approaching closer to 25 feet to vote counters in Pennsylvania. Read more at i24
