Jerusalem, Israel - Oct. 12, 2025 - United Hatzalah held its annual fundraising gala at the Jerusalem International Conference Center after Shabbos on Saturday night, October 11. The large auditorium was filled for an evening that blended inspiration, music, and celebration.
Popular singer Avraham Fried once again headlined the program, joined by comedian Elon Gold, who both entertained the crowd and served as master of ceremonies. United Hatzalah President Eli Beer greeted guests in the upper hall, where a display of the organization’s signature emergency vehicles added color to the festive atmosphere before Beer opened the evening program.
A highlight of the night was the special performance by former U.S. Ambassador David Friedman and current U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. The pair received a standing ovation before taking the stage with guitars in hand to join Gold and Fried in a playful rendition of “Sweet Home, Jerusalem.”
The joyful tone of the Sukkot evening was heightened by reports that hostages were to be released and that an end to the war with Hamas in Gaza was near. In brief remarks, Friedman noted that Huckabee would be at Ben-Gurion Airport on Monday morning to welcome the U.S. President ahead of his address to the Knesset.
Before Simhas Torah, simcha was unmistakable among the thousands in attendance.
