Baltimore, MD - Sept. 10, 2025 - The Baltimore City District Courthouse, also known as the Civil Building, will relocate its operations from 501 E. Fayette Street to a new courthouse at 500 N. Calvert Street.
The courthouse will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 10, and will reopen on Tuesday, October 14, at 8:00 a.m. at 500 North Calvert Street, officials said.
All judges, commissioners, and Judiciary employees will move to the North Calvert Street courthouse.
The Commissioner's Centralized Application, located at 1 North Charles Street, will remain open until Sunday, October 12, closing at 9:30 a.m. It will reopen at the new location (500 North Calvert Street) at 12 p.m. the same day.
Officials advised that individuals with business at the East Fayette Street courthouse should report to the North Calvert Street location starting October 14, 2025.
Services previously offered at the East Fayette Street courthouse and the North Charles Street commissioner’s station will be available at the new site.
Baltimore City has four district court locations: Wabash District Courthouse at 5800 Wabash Avenue, Hargrove District Courthouse at 700 East Patapsco Avenue, Eastside District Courthouse at 1400 East North Avenue, and the new 500 North Calvert Street location.
