Jerusalem, Israel -Aug. 20, 2025 - The Train Theater’s 34th International Puppet Festival opened in Jerusalem, Israel, Sunday night, August 17, with a vibrant celebration of creativity.
The opening night was attended by Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, Train Theater CEO Kobi Frig, the theater’s board members, Artistic Director Shahar Marom, and Tamar Berliner, head of the Jerusalem Municipality’s Department of Culture and Arts, along with an audience of cultural figures and guests of all ages.
Attendees enjoyed a special preview of the new outdoor complex, “X Mix,” in Liberty Bell Park and were invited to watch the festival’s opening performances. The festival runs through Thursday, August 21, featuring premiere productions, international artists from England, Germany, and Hungary, original works, children’s and family shows, international workshops, and a virtual exhibition from Germany.
“We are always happy to create for children,” said Kobi Frig, CEO of the Train Theater. “We love to set a personal example and offer hope—to be an island of sanity amidst everything happening around us.”
