Baltimore, MD - May 8, 2024  -  The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will continue its $39.8 million work to rehabilitate 10 bridges at the I-95/I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) interchange in the Arbutus area of Baltimore County.

On Wednesday, there will be a single-lane closure on southbound I-95 at 7 p.m., a double lane closure at 9 p.m. and a triple lane closure at midnight.

The three lanes will be closed until 5 a.m. Thursday.

The overnight triple-lane closure and ramp closure will allow crews to shift the traffic pattern in the work zone to prepare for the next phase of work.

Drivers should expect major overnight delays on the southwest I-695 interchange with I-95 in Arbutus.

Overnight ramp and lane closures are scheduled as follows.

During lane and ramp closures, motorists are advised to plan for extra travel time and consider alternate routes.

Crews will use digital message boards, temporary signs and barrels to direct drivers safely through the nighttime work zone.

The larger project will install new riding surfaces on bridges within the I-95 / I-695 interchange, and also willreplace concrete traffic barriers and parapets on the bridges.
