Baltimore's Mt. Royal Avenue Undergoes Construction: Lane Closures Expected

Baltimore, MD - Feb. 15, 2024  - (FOX45) Construction work is commencing on Mt. Royal Avenue in Baltimore, from Charles Street to Guilford Avenue, due to the BGE Downtown Pipeline project, resulting in significant lane closures for the next two weeks. The traffic advisory outlines the following closures and lane shifts:

  • Eastbound lanes and one westbound lane on Mt. Royal Avenue, from Charles Street to St. Paul Street, will be closed.
  • One eastbound and one westbound lane on Mt. Royal Avenue, from St. Paul Street to N. Calvert Street, will be closed.
  • At the corner intersection of Mt. Royal Avenue to Guilford Avenue, lanes will shift, with crews working in the median.
  • Bicycle and pedestrian access are not expected to be affected, but caution is advised near the construction site.

The construction is scheduled from February 15 to February 29, 2024.
