Despite her past, which includes resigning as mayor due to a retail gift card scandal, Dixon currently holds a lead in the polls. According to the latest Goucher College Poll from October, she has a 12-point lead over Mayor Brandon Scott, with a significant number of respondents expressing concerns about the city's direction.
