Baltimore, MD -Jan. 8, 2024 - This BJL Traffic Alert posted yesterday morning was regarding the fire on Smith Ave described below.
Rabbi Emanuel Goldfeiz, Rav of the Baltimore Sephardic Center-Kehilat Beit Yaakov lends his wholehearted haskama to this effort.
Hi everyone,
Today, Sunday morning, January 7, 2024, I woke up to smoke and frantic yelling at my sisters house (Rivka and Eliyahu Lavaddin). My family was visiting for shabbat and it was our first time coming to her house, which she recently moved into. As I ran out, I saw a massive fire in their kitchen. THANK YOU HASHEM that we all made it out alive and are well. We frantically called the fire department and ushered everyone out of the house. By the time the fire department arrived, a large chunk of the house was destroyed and the rest has severe smoke damage. They have lost everything they own due to smoke and water damage. They need to find a new place to live, as well as start from scratch with essentials, clothing and belongings. They have 4 little boys ranging from 1 years old to 6 years old. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Please give with an open heart. May the zechut of giving, protect you and your family and keep everyone safe!
Thank you for your care! May Hashem continue to protect all of us!
