An Indiana woman plowed her car into a building she thought was a Jewish school, FOX 59 reported.
Ruba Almaghtheh, 34, drove into the Israelite School of Universal and Practical Knowledge building on Friday night while children and adults were inside.
The building is affiliated with the Black Hebrew Israelite movement and has itself been accused of being an antisemitic hate group. The sign and name outside the school caused her to associate it with the State of Israel and the Jewish people, and she called it the “Israel school.”
Almaghtheh told police officers "Yes, I did it on purpose" when she was arrested and that she did it because of “her people back in Palestine,” a reference to the ongoing war between Israel and the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip.
Police have called her a "terrorist" and charged her with criminal recklessness.
