A large fire broke out from a tanker truck on Interstate 795 in Pikesville, forcing the closure of the highway near the Baltimore Beltway. I-795 has been shut down between the beltway and Exit 4 in BOTH directions. The fire, which was still active at 7:20 a.m., caused thick smoke visible from miles away. Due to the emergency, the Maryland Transit Administration suspended subway service between Owings Mills and Old Court stations, implementing a bus bridge from Owings Mills to Milford Mill.
