The murderous terror attack that took place on Shabbos in Neve Ya'akov sharpened the will of the Israeli police rabbis under the command of the Chief Rabbi of the Police, Rabbi Rami Barchiho, and of the Border Police, Rabbi Yitzchak Blaichbard, in the urgent need to unify together under a special prayer taking into account the burden of security issues.
The police rabbis and thousands of officers gathered in the Synagogue of the Central District to pray for the safety of those who risk their lives every day.
The Chief Rabbi of the Police, Rami Barkiho, emphasized the responsibility placed on the officers and volunteers, and the importance of supporting them in their duties. Meanwhile, Border Police Rabbi Yitzchak Blakebard expressed pride in being part of a group that balances their religious beliefs with their duty to protect the citizens of Israel. He noted that the prayer was a source of strength and added superpowers to the complex tasks they carry out daily.
