Baltimore, MD - Oct. 26, 2022 - This past Sunday, TYA (Torah Youth Association) held its first ever Leadership Conference for an elite group of 11thand 12thgrade boys from Baltimore.
R' Ori Strum moderated a panel featuring an illustrious group of community minded individuals who inspired the boys with their passion and wisdom for making a difference in the Baltimore Jewish landscape. The panelists emphasized the importance of getting involved in Chesed and being mindful of the myriad opportunities we have to be a Kiddush Hashem.
The boys then heard from Rabbi Yisrael Lefkowitz, R' Yossi Kohen and R' Benyamin Moss about specific opportunities for them to get involved with various organizations servicing the Baltimore community. They left the event inspired and motivated to get involved, take responsibility and be a positive force for good in the Baltimore community.
A delicious brunch ensured that the mind, body and soul were all nourished by this experience.
TYA is excited to encourage, support and follow the journey of these young men as they embark on a year of growth, leadership and responsibility for the Jewish community.
