Goodwill has launched GoodwillFinds, an e-commerce spinoff of the thrift store that the retailer says will help support its social initiatives in local communities in the U.S.

According to Goodwill, shoppers can go to GoodwillFinds.com to find a selection of women's, men's and children’s clothing. Also available through the e-commerce marketplace are books, specialty and collector’s items, and home decor, the retailer said in a release. At launch, there are hundreds of thousands of items available for purchase, according to the retailer.

Prior to the launch of GoodwillFinds, the non-profit retailer had no centralized online marketplace. Customers who want to donate their clothes will still have to take them to an in-person Goodwill location. Other popular online secondhand retailers, including Thredup and Poshmark, allow customers to arrange donations through their apps, NPRreported.

Matthew Kaness, an e-commerce and retail industry veteran with previous roles at ModCloth, Walmart, AfterPay and Lucky Brand, has been tapped to serve as CEO of the new venture.
