Baltimore, MD - Sept. 8, 2022 - Back in 2007 when the Agudah Maryland office was conceived and being put together by a committee of our community's leaders, there were many ideas brought forth as to what the goals and pursuits of the office would be.
Issues such as: pursuing government funds to benefit Jewish day schools, school vouchers to assist tuition weary families, security and safety grants to protect our vulnerable facilities, transportation to our schools; standing up to protect our religious liberties; and ensuring our ability to live as Torah-observant Jews without government policies jeopardizing our sacred values.

Since then, with you as our partners, we have B"H made incredible progress in those areas and countless more.
The annual state allocation to our Jewish day schools continues to climb at record rates. Programs such as BOOST, 529, and childcare vouchers are now yielding our community nearly $10 annually. There are now more security grant dollars available for schools and shuls from federal and state programs than anyone could have imagined. Busing options have been expanded to accommodate more sites and more neighborhoods. Policies to protect our religious liberties have been implemented and relationships to ensure they are respected have been created. When situations of need arise to our community's households, the address of where to turn is well known.
"TOGETHER WE WILL"
There is far more work that needs to be done. Some of the available programs are limited by challenges, while others are under constant threat by opposing political movements. Society's mores have sharply shifted thus requiring new strategies to maintain our insularity. As the communities continue to grow, so do the needs of its people.
Agudah Maryland has embraced the challenges of the past, and will we continue to embrace them now and in the future...TOGETHER WITH YOU.
Next Tuesday, September 13th and over the ensuing 36 hours, Agudah Maryland seeks a renewal of our sacred partnership with you during the Agudah Giving Day. We have set a goal of raising $300,000 and offer a 3x match thanks to the generosity of our campaign matchers.
