Fridays with R' Dovid
From the outset of R' Dovid's illness we have been surrounded with support and endless acts of kindness from friends, family and even people we have never met. These selfless and caring deeds are not only saving the lives of R' Dovid and our family, but are also creating merits that help save the world.
Harav Hagaon Rav Shimon Katz Shlita, Rosh Yeshivat Keser Dovid here in Telz Stone, has known R' Dovid for many years. When R' Dovid became ill with ALS, a cruel and debilitating disease which eventually left him paralyzed and attached to life support, the Rav took on the task of visiting every Friday. In rain or shine, on short winter days, whether he has just stepped off a plane or is in the midst of his own family Simcha, Harav Katz comes to deliver words of Torah and Chizuk, infusing our home with light, faith, hope and joy.
