COVID-19's Positivity Rate In Maryland Continues To Decline; Less Than 300 Hospitalized

The Maryland Department of Health released updated coronavirus numbers Sunday morning.

As of 10:00 a.m., there are 1,004,539 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maryland, 249 new cases have been reported since Saturday.

The statewide positivity rate is now 1.63%, a decrease of 0.09% since yesterday.

Hospitalizations have decreased statewide by 38, bringing a total of 296 people hospitalized.

A total of 61 patients are being treated in the ICU, 3 are pediatric.

There have been 13,920 of COVID-19 deaths in the state. To date, 7 Maryland residents have died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Roughly, 95% of the state’s population age 18 and up has gotten one dosage of the vaccination, and 11,403,087 doses have been administered.
