Jabotinsky Zionism Conference Held In Jerusalem (Photo Essay)

Jerusalem, Israel - Dec. 26, 2021 - The VERT Hotel ballroom in Jerusalem, Israel was filled with participants for a Jabotinsky Zionism Conference held on Sunday afternoon. The event celebrated the vision and legacy of the Zionist leader Ze'ev Jabotinsky and founder of the Betar youth movement. 

The conference, organized by Israel Hayom and the Betar youth movement, began with the singing of the Betar Song and Hatikvah.

Boaz Bismuth, the editor-in-chief of Israel Hayom in his opening of the program remarked, "it is no coincidence, that every time Israeli governments pursued territorial concessions and essentially discarded the notion that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people, Israel's situation worsened."

The first panel led by Yifat Erlich, on opportunities for young Olim in Jerusalem 2021 included Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, Irina Reider, and Yussi Tsuria, CEO of Hilma - Hitech for Society and Security. Today's modern chaluztim, Olim can be international interns and National Service Youth in Israel solving social challenges with Web and Mobile applications. 

Receiving a special award certificate was Jewish resident of Acre, Mor Janashvili, who was critically wounded by Arab rioters in May during Operation Guardian of the Walls.

The conference's speakers include President Isaac Herzog, who sent a video message. Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu was expected to address the conference on Sunday evening as the concluding speaker but did not attend. Declining to attend a large event under the current circumstances. Everyone entering the hotel and to present a green pass.
