Jerusalem, Israel - Nov. 10, 2021 - In October 2021, an important project commissioned by the Modiin municipality was launched. SpaceMod is an over 17,000 square feet complex, a shared business workspace divided into various size work areas.
As per the vision of Mayor Haim Bibas, it is to serve entrepreneurs, start-ups, business owners, freelancers and students both as a physical place to work and study and as a social ecosystem. Located near the Azrieli Mall and Modiin bus station providing convenient access.
Encouraging slogans are written on the walls. The color scheme is bright and welcoming, and the coffee corner centrally located.
In line with the plan to create opportunities for creativity, entrepreneurship, partnerships, and networking, SpaceMod was the scene of the Israeli Women's Entrepreneurial Networking (IWEN) meeting on Tuesday morning.
Beginning as a Facebook group, IWEN has grown to involve over 3,000 Israeli women in the business and service industries. This first, live in-person event for IWEN members after the corona period was organized by Modiin residents Cherie Lipschitz Albucher with the assistance of Shari Wright Pilo at SpaceMod.
The well-constructed event program began with each of the 70 women present introducing themselves. Included in the program presentations were the creative Raquella Raiz; Rena Yudkowsky shared tips to improve focus and memory; business advisor Mandi Brandriss spoke about LinkedIn; while interior designer Yael Steinberger explained the importance of community.
From the north and south of Israel, women came to participate, to meet and speak to friends, and network to grow their business opportunities. The enthusiasm to connect in person again, in spite of requirements of green passes and masks in the mall, was evident.
The SpaceMod complex is to be managed by Ofek Management in cooperation with the "Yoda" in the Youth and Young Adults Division.
