As a cold front moves in to Maryland, stormy weather is in the forecast, including the potential for flooding in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.

Strong thunderstorms may hit before the cold front Monday night, according to the National Weather Service, which placed five counties and Baltimore under a flash flood watch.

About 1 to 2 inches of rain could fall through Monday night, with up to 4 inches possible in some areas.
