Baltimore, MD - Aug. 30, 2021 - Community safety and security isn't only about cameras or locked doors. It's about dedicated leadership being aware of both the opportunities and challenges around them.

As we approach Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur and Sukkos, we are fortunate for the careful security planning being coordinated by Mayor Brandon Scott, Councilman Yitzy Schleifer and Baltimore City Police Commissioner Michael Harrison, Major Brown, Sergeant Currie, Baltimore County Executive Johnny O., County Councilman Izzy Patoka, and Baltimore County Police Chief Melissa Hyatt.

Nothing is more critical to communal safety than building close, sustained relationships with your elected officials and local police.

We ask that our community be especially vigilant in preparing clergy, staff, lay leaders and congregation members for the High Holidays.

Working with local law enforcement and community stakeholder groups we can celebrate in safety, security and confidence!
