Israel: Over 150,000 People Got Coronavirus Jab In Past 24 Hours, Edelstein Says

Israel administered the COVID-19 coronavirus jab to 152,000 people on Tuesday, interim Health Minister Yuli Edelstein announced in a tweet Wednesday.

According to Edelstein's post, some 650,000 Israelis have already received at least one shot of the vaccine since the country started its inoculation campaign.

"That's how we beat the pandemic!" Edelstein said.

The official also cited an update from the OurWorldInData website on the ratio of people who received at least one jab compared to the country population, with Israel ranked first as of Tuesday.

In the Jewish state, about 7.5 in each 100 people have already received a coronavirus vaccine shot, while in Bahrain, which was ranked second, the ratio stands at 3.3 per 100. Read more at i24
