Israeli private jet makes direct trip to Saudi mega-city of Neom, flight tracking data shows

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a rare tour to Saudi Arabia on Sunday to hold an under-the-radar meeting with US State Secretary Mike Pompeo and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Walla reported Monday.

According to the report, Netanyahu was accompanied by Mossad chief Yossi Cohen during the trip. A Saudi source confirmed Netanyahu's visit to i24NEWS.

The report cites flight tracking data indicating that the plane took off from Tel Aviv at 5 pm local time on Sunday.

It headed to the megacity of Neom in northwest Saudi Arabia and took off back to the Jewish state in roughly five hours, the report added. The trip comes as the US is pushing for Israel's regional normalization, with Bahrain and the UAE forging formal ties with the Jewish state under a US-brokered accord. Read more at i24
