The document called for a swift end to the Israeli "occupation" of the Palestinian lands, which purportedly was instated in 1967.

It also calls for a "peace settlement" between Israel and the Palestinians on the basis of the two-state solution.

The resolution was part of a larger package of 20 documents aimed at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict -- and usually centered on criticizing Israel -- that the world body passes every year.
