On Tuesday, Wall Street stocks tumbled into the red when the president posted a tweet saying that his administration was ending talks with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on striking another big fiscal package until after the US election.
"We made a very generous offer of $1.6 trillion and, as usual, [Pelosi] is not negotiating in good faith. I am rejecting their request, and looking to the future of our country," he wrote.
The speaker of the House has been blamed in conservative quarters for holding up attempts to secure the relief package, with critics pointing out that this money should not be used to bailout poorly run states that have budgetary holes. Read more at i24
