Irvine, CA, Sept. 23, 2020 — Responding to reports that Zoom had denied San Francisco State University usage of its video conferencing platform to host an event featuring the terrorist Leila Khaled, Rabbi Dov Fischer, Western Regional Vice President of the Coalition for Jewish Values and Rabbi of the Young Israel of Orange County in Irvine, CA, made the following statement:

The time is long overdue to realize that anti-Jewish bigotry, often hidden under the guise of 'anti-Zionism,' is just as unacceptable as other forms of hate. While we congratulate Zoom for denying a known terrorist access to its platform, we must also condemn the shameful failure of the president and administration of SFSU to make the simple, obvious, morally-upright decision that Zoom was forced to make for them.
