Democrats on the House Oversight Committee sent out a pair of tweets Wednesday and earlier this month with photos of migrants sleeping on a detention center floor to publicize an immigration hearing in Capitol Hill.

Just one problem — the pics were snapped in 2014, during the Obama Administration.

The Dems deleted the two messages, and claimed it was an “error.”

Democrats on the panel sent one of the tweets soon after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Fox News reported, citing a screenshot of the tweet captured by the Trump 2020 campaign.

“Last week, members of our committee visited a detention center at the souther border and discovered grotesque treatment of children,” they wrote in the message. “This week, we are examining the inhumane treatment of the children in these detention centers.”

The tweet included a photo taken by an Associated Press photographer of detained migrants sleeping on the floor of a detention center in Arizona.

The Trump campaign, tweeting from the handle @TrumpWarRoom, highlighted the gaffe in their own tweet.

“House Democrats are promoting their ‘civil rights’ hearing on ‘kids in cages’ and ‘inhumane treatment’ with a photo from 2014, when Joe Biden was Vice President,” the tweet read. “So dishonest!”

Republicans on the panel also slammed their Democratic counterparts, writing in a tweet: “You all know that’s a picture from 2014, right? Remind us who was President.”

The GOP committee members then dredged up another promotional tweet for Wednesday’s hearing that was sent by Dems on the panel on July 2.

The tweet, which announced the hearing, included the same Associated Press photograph from 2014.

“You deleted the last one. But this picture is also from 2014,” the Oversight Committee Republicans tweeted.

That tweet was then scrubbed from the Democratic Oversight Twitter feed.

The Associated Press published a fact-check article in 2018 after the same photo and other similar ones were circulated by activists online, blaming Trump for the conditions. Read more at NY Post
