BDE: Rebbetzin Esther Waxman, A”h (Rebetzin Kamenetsky's Shiva Schedule)

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rebbetzin Esther Waxman a”h.She was 91 years old.

Rebbetzin Waxman was a daughter of Reb Mordechai Bruks and grew up in Williamsburg.

She was the wife of Rav Hershel Waxman, rosh kollel of Beth Medrosh of Monsey. Throughout their married life, the rebbetzin was wholly devoted to her husband, allowing him to be involved in harbotzas haTorah and assisting in the running of his kollel.

Rebbetzin Waxman was an isha chashuvah in her own right. She possessed a special ayin tovah, always seeing the good in others and never uttering anything negative at any time. Her sterling middos tovos were a lesson to all who encountered her.

Rebbetzin Waxman is survived by her husband, Rav Hershel Waxman; their children, Rav Meshulam Zishe Waxman, Rav Reuven Pinchos Waxman, Mrs. Sima Greenes, Mrs. Charna Minzer and Mrs. Rivky Kutner. She was predeceased by her son, Rav Yechiel Meir Waxman zt”l. She also leaves behind her sisters, Rebbetzin Temi Kamenetsky, wife of Philadelphia rosh yeshiva Rav Shmuel Kamenetsky, and Mrs. Hendel Nadoff.

The levayah took place at 11:30 p.m. at Beth Medrosh of Monsey, located at 1 Harvest Court in Monsey.

Shivah will take place at the Waxman home, located next door to Beth Medrosh of Monsey.

Rebetzin Kamenetsky will observe shiva beginning tonight, Wednesday, June 12, at her home, 2018 Upland Way, Philadelphia, PA 19131 through Tuesday morning, June 18. Please no visitors between 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM and after 10:00 PM
