A carjacking suspect who jumped out of a stolen car was struck and killed by a police car Sunday evening, Baltimore County police said.

Police said three suspects jumped out of the car at Northern Parkway at Highgate Drive in northwest Baltimore City. One suspect is in custody, one is at large and a third is deceased.

Investigators said the three suspects carjacked a pizza delivery man at gunpoint and led officers on a pursuit. Police said the car was first spotted at Liberty and Essex roads.

Police said the suspects threw a gun from the car at Liberty and Northern Parkway and that officers have recovered it.

Police said at least one of the suspects is a juvenile.

The Baltimore City police crash team is investigating, and the officer who struck the suspect will remain on active duty.
