Baltimore, MD - May 19, 2017 -  In recognition of his dedication and commitment to the annual campaign, Yanky Schorr, was presented with Zelda Miller Award from The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore on Thursday, May 18. The Zelda Miller Award honors young adult leaders for their dedication to The Associated’s Annual Campaign.

Schorr is an extremely dedicated young leader. Born and raised in Baltimore, upon returning to the community he immediately became involved with The Associated and other community organizations. An active member of the Real Estate committee, Schorr is completing the Young Leadership Council (YLC) this May and will be co-chairing the next cohort. He is an effective ambassador for The Associated, not only as a solicitor but also connecting people in his networks to get involved. He is always willing to make a call and include a personal touch and share his passion.

Professionally, Schorr works for Lewis Contractors. He currently resides in Pikesville with his wife and three daughters.

Recipients of the Zelda Miller Award are chosen by campaign professionals.  This honor is made possible by the friends, family and colleagues of Zelda Miller who, as administrative assistant to two campaign directors, inspired volunteers and staff with her enthusiasm and dedication.
