While Maryland's COVID-19 metrics are trending downward, health officials said preventative measures must continue even if you've been vaccinated.

The good news is that infection rates have dropped to pre-Thanksgiving levels, and in some priority groups, like nursing homes, officials said the vaccine appears to be providing protection.

The bad news is most of the data is still out and the variants are moving in.

Maryland's COVID-19 dashboard is showing some promising trends as the number of new infections fell significantly. Maryland hasn't seen the number of new infections dip this low since November.
