Prof Ash stresses the need to adhere to gov't regulations as economy slated to reopen

Israel’s coronavirus czar Prof Nachman Ash expressed concerns Tuesday morning over the expected reopening of the country’s economy, warning that another national lockdown could yet be on the cards.

“I am not sure [if this was the last lockdown]. If people don’t adhere to the rules we may have to reintroduce restrictions, including lockdown,” Ash told Israel’s Army Radio.

He stressed that the broad opening of the market next week was settled several weeks ago, and unlike the previous exit from the second lockdown in the fall, this time there will be no division between street shops, commercial centers and other businesses, as they will all open simultaneously.
