National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir visited the Har HaBayis on Sunday morning in honor of the beginning of the Jewish month of Sivan under heavy police security.

During the visit, Minister Ben-Gvir stated: "I am happy to visit the Har HaBayis, the most important place to the people of Israel. I must say that the police are doing an amazing job and, again, prove who the boss is in Jerusalem. All of Hamas' threats won't help, we are in charge of Jerusalem and of all of the land of Israel."

He also mentioned the crisis concerning the state budget and the argument between his Otzma Yehudit party and other coalition parties regarding funding for the periphery: "We have to remember our brothers in the Negev and the Galilee. We have to invest in the Negev and Galilee. Jerusalem is our soul, the Negev, and the Galilee are our spirit, we have to invest, we have to work there, we have to be in charge in the Negev and Galilee as well, and the basis for that is the budget."
