Baltimore, MD - June 22, 2021 - If you would have asked the growing Baltimore Jewish community 40 years ago what they thought about Summit Park, they would have responded by saying, “what/where is Summit Park”?

Today, Summit Park is a neighborhood quickly growing with Orthodox households forming an amazingly tight knit community.

B”H, this tremendous growth has created the need for more infrastructure and that is what led to the birth of Bais Medrash of Summit Park/Bais Dovid (BMSP).

BMSP started  out with a simple Friday night minyan, and is now bursting at the seams with close to 30 people every Shabbos. This hartzig makom tefillah is the place to be for all new families moving into the Summit Park area, and beyond.

One major development that has fast-tracked the pace of growth was Rabbi Yonah Ribiat through the Baltimore Eruv being able to extend the Eruv past the school in the area.

With multiple housing options, there is so much to choose from such as townhouses, older residential homes, newer homes, and of course The Falls. The neighborhood has a plethora of options for those looking to make that move and still have an awesome place to daven within walking distance.

Those who join us for Shabbos just love it! “I love what you all have built here, it’s so warm and inviting and a beautiful place to daven” says one local Rebbe.

“When I first came, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but after Friday night davening, I was hooked. Nice davening, perfect pace”, said another recent move-in.

“This Shul uses such foresight in it’s planning and it shows,” said another.

We are excited to announce that we are now searching for a Shabbos Rov!

Ideal candidates should send their resume and other pertinent information here.

If you are looking for a hartzig makom tefillah within a growing, tight knit community, then BMSP/Bais Dovid is for you!
