State TV shows photograph of Reza Karimi, 43, with red card that has 'Interpol Wanted' written on it

Iran has identified a man that was behind the recent blast and power outage at its Natanz nuclear facility, Iran’s state TV reported on Saturday.

“Reza Karimi, the perpetrator of this sabotage... has been identified” by Iran’s Intelligence Ministry, the report noted, cited by news agency Reuters.

It said the suspect managed to flee the Islamic republic before last Sunday’s explosion, which Iran blamed on its arch-enemy Israel.

“Necessary steps are underway for his arrest and return to the country through legal channels,” the state TV added. Read more at i24
