Palestinian health authorities recommend two-week lockdown to stem new cases

The West Bank is facing a third wave of COVID-19 coronavirus infections amid an uptick in new cases, Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila said on Wednesday.

In her comments for al-Arabiya, al-Kaila warned of a "substantial" increase in the number of confirmed patients.

She also said that new strains of COVID-19 have made their way into the Palestinian territories.
