Baltimore, MD - Nov. 5, 2019 - At or about 5:30 pm this evening, BSSP received a call for a group of suspicious males in the vicinity of Western Run and West Strathmore Ave. Shortly thereafter, another call concerning the same group of individuals was received indicating an attempted armed car jacking.

Multiple BSSP units responded to the the call. Simultaneously BSSP, in close communication with Baltimore Police, directed officers to the area of the alleged crime. Despite the suspects attempting to flee, the police were able to locate and take one suspect into custody. Thankfully the intended victim of the crime was not injured.

BSSP would like to thank the Baltimore Police Department for its overwhelming and immediate response to the call. The matter continues to be under investigation.

BSSP continues to request that community members remain aware of their surroundings and keep their car doors locked at all times. Should an individual unknown to you approach your vehicle do not engage the person and immediately leave the area and drive to a safe destination.
