President Trump in a tweet early Thursday said that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) lied about Trump throwing a “temper tantrum” during negotiations concerning the partial government shutdown.

Trump met Wednesday with Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) inside the White House, but said he left early because he felt it was a “total waste of time.”
