About the Position

The Opportunity

The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join our HR Department. Our ideal candidate is someone well-rounded who can seamlessly handle the core HR responsibilities of this role (recruitment, onboarding to off-boarding and everything in between), while also being approachable, detail-oriented, and resourceful.



In this highly collaborative role, you will use your expertise in human resources and be responsible for:

· Full cycle recruiting, including developing job descriptions, posting ads, sourcing candidates, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, candidate correspondences, checking references and extending offers.
· Conducting employee orientation and coordinating on-boarding activities and trainings.
· Providing HRIS support by entering HR data, creating, and running reports, and analyzing data with useful HR metrics, like employee turnover rates.
· Assisting the HR team on the creation and execution of talent management initiatives, participating in the annual open enrollment process for benefits and other HR-led employee programs.
· Providing support to employees and being a resource across the organization on topics ranging from everyday questions to sensitive topics.
· Regulatory compliance and keeping up with changing laws and regulations.

· Drive: The ideal candidate will be eager to take on new responsibilities and challenges. We are looking for someone who is a systematic thinker and fast learner. The ability to effectively prioritize and respond promptly to internal and external customers is vital.



Qualifications
· 3-5 years of proven experience as an HR Professional.
· Bachelor’s degree; HR certification is a plus (PHR/SHRM-CP).
· Understanding of general human resources policies, procedures, and employment/labor laws.
· Outstanding knowledge of MS Office.
· Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) is preferred.
· Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information is required.
· Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and priorities is required.
· Ability to participate and collaborate in a team setting is required.

Salary range is approximately $52,000-$57,000. Salary will be based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
