About the Position

Jewish Volunteer Connection (JVC), a program of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore seeks a Program Associate to join their team. The Program Associate will be responsible for the development, execution, and follow up of JVC’s four annual days of service events as well as other direct service projects that support volunteer engagement and JVC’s mission. The Program Associate will play a key role in a dynamic team working to engage lay leaders, staff, community organizations and businesses to plan and execute small to large scale events with multiple sites including mega-sites for hundreds of people to gather as public health guidelines allow.

In this role, you will:

Plan and execute four annual days of volunteer service.
Manage planning committees of volunteer stakeholders for each event as well as task manages colleagues who plan and execute critical aspects of each event. Maintains key files, including registrations, budgets, and proposals.
Contribute to JVC’s culture and embraces their values in the workplace, including a commitment to racial and social justice which is core to JVC’s work.
Provide support as applicable for new and existing programmatic initiatives within JVC.

What we're looking for:

A mission aligned and a dynamic self-starter who can proactively identify and address challenges and opportunities. You are eager to organize, improve processes, learn and create meaningful opportunities through a justice lens. You have proven experience administering programs, supporting projects or events, and engaging with volunteers.

3-5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in project management or event planning.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to work in an energized, innovative environment with high standards.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Strong Project Management Skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and independently in an energized environment.
Commitment to racial and social justice.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365.
Access to consistent transportation.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, including paid holidays.
