The intelligence community did not have any direct information that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to help elect Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election, but, at the "unusual" direction of then-President Barack Obama, published "potentially biased" or "implausible" intelligence suggesting otherwise, the House Intelligence Committee found.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified a report prepared by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence back in 2020.
The report, which was based on an investigation launched by former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., was dated Sept. 18, 2020. At the time of the publication of the report, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., was the chairman of the committee.

Annapolis, MD - July 23, 2025 - Maryland elections officials face the potential of a federal investigation and a separate federal lawsuit led by local, state, and national Republicans over allegations of improperly maintained voter rolls.
In two letters sent four days apart, the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division and lawyers representing the state and national Republican Party and two party officials in Maryland raised concerns about efforts to purge duplicate and ineligible voters — including those who are deceased, incarcerated or undocumented immigrants. Both letters, obtained by Maryland Matters, cite federal election law and a 2023 state audit that raised questions about the accuracy of state voter rolls.

Annapolis, MD - July 23, 2025 - Maryland officials are doubling down that the demolition and redevelopment of the state’s flagship racetrack will remain on schedule, despite a key funding source not yet issued, limited activity at the government-controlled site, and the developer abruptly altering details on its website after being questioned.
Spotlight on Maryland has been monitoring the more than $500 million Pimlico Race Course redevelopment project in Baltimore’s Park Heights neighborhood since the start of the year.
During the 2024 legislative session, the Maryland General Assembly successfully revived a 2020 framework bill to redevelop Pimlico, the nation’s second-oldest horse racing track.

The Knesset plenum voted on Wednesday afternoon to approve a resolution affirming the State of Israel’s natural, historical, and legal right to all parts of the Land of Israel, with specific emphasis on Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley.
The resolution passed with a majority of 71 Members of Knesset. The Arab parties and the "Democrats" party led by Yair Golan voted against, while Blue and White and Yesh Atid parties were absent from the vote.
The resolution states that these territories are an inseparable part of the Jewish people’s historic, cultural, and spiritual homeland, and that cities such as Hebron, Shechem (Nablus), Shiloh, and Beit El reflect the historical continuity of Jewish existence in the Land of Israel.
The document further stresses that the events ...
The IDF's Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, published new footage on Wednesday afternoon exposing what he described as the comfortable conditions Hamas operatives maintain in underground tunnels during the ongoing conflict.
The video depicts Hamas members inside tunnels preparing and consuming food, seemingly detached from the broader humanitarian crisis affecting Gaza's civilian population.
Adraee wrote: “Exclusive views from Hamas tunnels: this is how the terrorists behave underground—isolated from the suffering of the population and contrary to the false claims of starvation.”
According to the IDF, the food items seen in the footage were not part of humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza, raising further questions about how Hamas obtains and distr...
Palestinian Arab sources are reporting that the Hamas terror organization conveyed its initial response to the proposed hostage and ceasefire on Tuesday to the mediators.
According to the reports, the reply was unacceptable to the mediators, and they sent a strong message to Hamas, demanding that the terrorist organization show immediate and significant flexibility to advance the deal.
Earlier, Kan News reported that Hamas demanded the reopening of the Rafah Crossing with Egypt as part of the negotiations for a hostage deal. Palestinian Arab sources estimate that Israel will most probably accept the demand.
If Hamas' demand is accepted, it would be the first time since the war began that Palestinian Arabs would be allowed to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Cros...

Southwest Airlines has announced a major change coming to its current seating system.
The Texas-based airline previously had a "pick any seat" policy, allowing customers to purchase tickets in different boarding groups by selecting where they wanted to sit upon boarding the plane.
