Baltimore, MD – July 3, 2025 – As millions of Americans pack their bags and hit the road for the Independence Day weekend, there’s some unexpected good news waiting at the pump: gas prices are down — way down. According to CNBC, "gas is the cheapest it’s ever been." When adjusted for inflation, current fuel prices are among the lowest in the last two decades, giving drivers some long-overdue relief. Add rising incomes into the mix, and Americans are now spending far less of their paychecks on energy than they have in years. This trend is being felt from coast to coast: Tupelo, MS: “If you’re driving, you could be in for a pleasant surprise at the pump.” New York, NY: “It looks like gas prices are about to get cheaper.”...

The U.S. economy grew at a faster pace than expected at the beginning of 2024 as consumers continued to open their wallets despite ongoing inflation and high interest rates. Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of goods and services produced across the economy, grew by 2.8% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from April through June, the Commerce Department said in its first reading of the data on Thursday. That is much higher than the 2% increase forecast by LSEG economists and the 1.4% pace seen during the first quarter. "The U.S. economy is much stronger than people realize and to the extent that markets were worried about a growth slowdown, they should breathe a sigh of relief after this morning’s GDP number," said Chris Zaccarelli, chief investment office...

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon when I received a phone call from a mother who had just returned from the Waterbury Sunday Baseball League. “Rabbi Heber,” she said, her voice full of emotion, “I have to share something with you.” She described a middle school boys’ baseball game she had just watched. Ezzy, a strong hitter known for his power, was up at bat. On the mound stood Yehuda, pitching one impressive throw after another. Ezzy struck out—a rare sight. But what happened next is what stayed with her. Instead of reacting with frustration—no bat throwing, no helmet slamming—Ezzy turned to Yehuda and said two simple words: “Great pitch.” That was it. But those two words carried something bigger than baseball. In that short...

Saudi Arabia is insisting that Israel finish the job in Gaza by removing Hamas from power completely in the coastal enclave as a precondition for a normalization agreement with the Jewish State, a Saudi source told i24NEWS. The source, who is reportedly close to the royal court, told Middle East correspondent Ariel Oseran that, "Without removing Hamas, there will be no peace." According to the report, the Saudi government hopes the Palestinian Authority, led by Mahmoud Abbas, will be restored to power in Gaza after the fall of the Hamas government. The report is the first indication that ending the war now instead of continuing until Hamas is completely defeated may jeopardize efforts to secure normalization accords with Arab and Muslim nations and the Trump Administration's e...
Living Dangerously: My Struggle to Get Rich Without Losing My Soul is a gripping memoir by Canadian-born entrepreneur Irwin Gabriel Katsof, a man whose life has straddled worlds—religious and secular, spiritual and financial, personal and political. He is also the author of three previous books, including How to Get Your Prayers Answered, first published in 2000 and reissued in 2002. Today, he serves as president of Trademissions.org, an organization that helps U.S. fund managers raise capital abroad. In trying to find a word that captured the boldness of Katsof’s career journey, I discovered that he had already supplied the best descrip...
