While the new regime in Damascus publicly promotes a policy of reconciliation with the Jewish community, behind the scenes, an entirely different approach is unfolding. According to a report by Roi Kais on Kan 11 News, the new Syrian regime has transferred between dozens and a hundred homes belonging to Jews who left the country to local residents. The Syrian Interior Ministry authorized a local entity, headed by Yousef Hamdan and Ahmad Abu Shukr, to transfer properties of "absent Jews" to new owners. This is despite the fact that during former Bashar Al-Assad’s rule, these properties remained in Jewish ownership and were not harmed. Bechor Simantov, a senior member of the small Jewish community still living in Syria, protested to the new authorities, demanding they halt the ...

A mother’s letter. A child’s fight. Shira urgently needs life-saving care. You can help - but only if we act now. My name is Bracha, and I’m writing not only as a mother, but as someone who deeply believes in the quiet power of kindness. My daughter Shira is a bright, tender-hearted little girl. She’s been diagnosed with leukemia — a cancer of the blood. Her eyesight has already been affected, and the emotional toll on our family has been immense. Shira is currently receiving care in a local hospital in Poland, but doctors have urged us to transfer her to a specialized children's hospital in Vienna. There, she can receive the advanced, life-saving treatment she urgently needs. The cost of this treatment is over $150,000 — far beyond anything we ...
White House envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff delivered an updated proposal to Israel and Hamas a few days ago for a deal to release the remaining hostages and to implement a ceasefire in Gaza, and is putting pressure on both sides to accept it, according to a senior Israeli official and a separate source familiar with the details. Although Israel and Hamas have negotiating teams in Doha, the talks on Witkoff's proposal are currently taking place through other channels, according to the sources. This channel was critical to the release of Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander last week, according to the report. Senior Hamas officials were disappointed that the release of Alexander did not lead to a more positive US stance toward the terrorist organization, a sou...

Reports from Gaza indicate that Dr. Zakaria Sinwar, brother of senior Hamas figures Yahya and Mohammed Sinwar, was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Nuseirat refugee camp. Two of his children, who were with him at the time, were also reportedly killed. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out the precision strike late Friday night, aiming at what was described as a high-value target. The operation was conducted by the Israeli Air Force. Earlier, the Saudi television network Al-Hadath reported that the body of Mohammed Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza, was discovered in a tunnel in Khan Yunis that had been targeted by the IDF. The report stated that ten of Sinwar's aides were found alongside him, as well as the body of Mohammed Shabana, commander of the Rafah Brigade...
US Vice President J.D. Vance is scheduled to arrive in Israel on Tuesday, marking a significant diplomatic engagement between the two nations, Amit Segal reported. The visit comes shortly after President Donald Trump's tour of the Middle East last week, during which he finalized substantial arms deals with Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Israeli officials view Vance's visit as a reaffirmation of the robust and stable relationship between the United States and Israel after the President did not include Israel in his most recent trip to the region. The White House is reportedly in advanced stages of coordinating meetings between Vice President Vance and senior Israeli government officials. His visit is expected to follow his attendance at the papal inauguration in Rome. During his recent...
The body of Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar has been found in a terrorist attack tunnel in Khan Yunis, Saudi media reported Sunday morning. According to the Al-Hadath network, the bodies of ten of Sinwar's aides were also found, as was the body of Hamas Rafah Brigade commander Mohammed Shabana. Sinwar was targeted in a strike on an underground command and control center in Khan Yunis last Tuesday. Israeli defense officials believed that the strike was successful, but no confirmation had been received until now. The Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry initially reported that 16 individuals were killed and 70 were wounded in the strike. The reports did not note their identities. Sinwar became the leader of Hamas in Gaza and the head of the Hamas militant wing following the assassi...
Israel's Defense Minister Katz said on Saturday that the opening salvo of Operation Gideon's Chariots hours earlier triggered a rethink on behalf of Gazans jihadists, compelling them to return to hostage talks with lowered demands.  Palestinians reported "dozens" of fatalities after Israel Defense Force (IDF) launched a sweeping offensive that included ground troops closing in on key strategic enclaves under the cover of heavy artillery fire and airstrikes. In a statement, the military stated that it had “launched extensive attacks and mobilized forces to achieve all the goals of the war in Gaza, including the release of the hostages and the dismantling of Hamas."
A naval training ship donning a massive Mexican flag crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City on Saturday night, sending passengers into the murky water. Videos posted to social media appear to show the mast of the ship crashing into the bridge just before 8:30 p.m., as passengers and nearby onlookers screamed, prompting an immediate rescue operation on the East River for the injured and overboard passengers. The 150-foot-tall Mexican Navy training ship, Cuauhtémoc, struck the bottom side of the roadbed portion of the Brooklyn Bridge, officials with the New York Police Department (NYPD) told Fox News. Flags and debris from the ship plummeted into the water below, as the vessel rocked back and forth, pushing its way under the landmark. All 277 occupants on...

Sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol.” On Friday, IAF 15 fighter jets took part in airstrikes targeting Houthi targets in Yemen, dropping over 30 munitions on targets belonging to the Houthi terrorist regime. There are neshamos whose journeys stretch beyond the ordinary boundaries of time, neshamos that shine even as the body weakens, neshamos that rise higher even as the world pulls down. Goli was such a neshamah. Her name hints to her mission. Goli, from the same root as גלה, to reveal. As we plead in davening, גלה כבוד מלכותך עלינו — Reveal the glory of Your Kingdom upon us. In her quiet, steady way, Goli revealed the hidden greatness and power of a Yiddishe neshamah. She showed that true strength lies in spirit, that the glory of Hashem’s Malchus can be seen in a radiant heart anchored in unwavering faith. Goli’s story cannot be measured by hardship alone. She wouldn’t want it to be. Rather, it’s a story of aliyah, a life where the ...
